* A prototype for a line of close-combat Anti Shadow Weapons that never took off, started around the same time as the seventh generation: the project was cancelled after his production, though data on creating male ASWs would be used again for the creation of Genesis/Sousei. He's got a great deal of fondness for his sisters.

* Having come out of development with a very humanlike personality, he bonded with his creator, who found himself reluctant to deactivate the unit permanently: instead, he was eventually quietly reactivated to be placed in the care of the Tatsumi family of Inaba, his creator's relatives: childless, they'd always liked the name 'Kanji' for a son...

Still, though, standing out in a small town like that? Not going to school for some time... he definitely raised a few suspicions...

* AU created in a meme thread that promptly took on a life of its own.

* Victim of some less-than-legitimate 'research' by a shady branch of the Kirijo Group who hadn't called a halt to their work when Mitsuru inherited the company... hauled in nearly dead after an accident to have the now non-functional parts of his body (as in, most of it) replaced with technology. Fortunately, he managed to make an escape before he could be fully loaded up with the intended programming and brainwashing that came with it... (unfortunately, his fellow research subject didn't come out of it all so well. Ryoji, brought back by further experiments, had had a further headful of programming, and needed beating down before coming to his senses...)

* Thanks to Mitsuru's help, he's currently a student at Gekkoukan, having had his records fabricated to hide the fact that he was supposed to have died in the accident. It's a normal life, of a sort. A fresh start.
Though it does bug him that he has these abilities but no good chance to use them...

* Designed as a close-combat, hands-on fighter, and for high endurance. Slow but extremely powerful, his strength and durability vastly outstripping that of his original human form. Highly acute vision and hearing (though he wishes his sense of touch was as acute as it was as a human...)

* Currently inbuilt weaponry is a powerful (but again, slow) cannon built into one arm and a set of penetrating spikes which emerge from his knuckles.

* Hard to tell where the organic parts end and the mechanical ones begin, due to the way he was reconstructed, although the divide seems to be somewhere around his shoulders and some internal organs; his organic parts are vastly outnumbered by the mechanical. ('Organic', however, is a slight misnomer. Even his brain contains some synthetic components.)

* Remaining Emperor AI elements act more to provide tactical guidance than anything else.

* Built-in Evoker: still summons Take-Mikazuchi. (May upgrade back to Rokuten Maoh in time.)
